Champions League: Poland's Marciniak to referee Real Madrid vs. Bayern at Santiago Bernabéu

Poland’s Szymon Marciniak will referee Wednesday’s Champions League semifinal between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich at the Spanish giants' iconic Santiago Bernabéu stadium, officials have announced.

The 43-year-old will be assisted by Polish linesmen Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik in Madrid on Wednesday night, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency has reported.

Meanwhile, Poland's Tomasz Kwiatkowski and Bartosz Frankowski will be the video assistant referees for the match.

Marciniak is among the 19 referees from various countries who have been selected to officiate during this year’s European football championships in Germany.

Last year, the Pole officiated the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter Milan in Istanbul.

Marciniak in December 2022 refereed the World Cup final between Argentina and France.
